Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Schedule

Day Shift: 3 x 12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) with weekend and holiday rotation. All travelers may float between different campuses as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a position in the Progressive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac telemetry, management and interpretation of dysrhythmias, and peripheral line care and management. The role requires proficiency in titrating drips and managing complex patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
• Administer and manage medications, including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Perform EKG interpretations and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a progressive care or telemetry unit.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and PCU ratios (1:5).
• Proficient in using the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
