Job Description

The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education, and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation (Assessment).
• Analyze the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis).
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
• Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care).
• Implement the identified plan of care.
• Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Evaluate one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
• Integrate ethical provisions and research findings into all areas of practice.
• Provide leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
• American Heart Association BLS
• American Heart Association ACLS
• Competence in and a willingness to practice modified primary nursing.
• Preferred: Outpatient clinic experience and knowledge of electronic health record operating systems.
