Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform general nuclear medicine examinations, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams in a hospital-based, acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine quality control measures and patient exams as directed by medical staff.
• Assist Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
• Complete documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
• Verify written/electronic orders and related health information for timely exam performance.
• Participate in the implementation and improvement of hospital quality indicators.
• Adhere to compliance for the administration, receipt/return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program or equivalent.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: One year post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Schedule

This position has a variable shift schedule from Monday to Friday and may require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and on-call duties.
