Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, working 3x12-hour shifts.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse, providing exceptional care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The position includes potential floating to other units to manage similar patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in stepdown or PCU settings.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and ECG rhythms.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty, with at least 18 months of recent Stepdown experience.
• Active nurse license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Two professional references from direct supervisors in the specialty are required.
