Respiratory Therapist - Nights

Schedule

This position requires a shift from 1800 to 0600, working 6 days on followed by 8 days off.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our allied healthcare team, working under the supervision of the Respiratory Medical Director and Department Manager. The role involves treatment, management, control, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. The therapist will triage patients efficiently, determine care priorities based on individual needs, and communicate effectively with ED physicians regarding patients' status and treatment needs.

Responsibilities

• Providing Respiratory Care services according to physician orders, department policies, and procedures.
• Carrying out patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and therapeutic interventions.
• Educating patients, caregivers, and the community on respiratory health.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting on patient status and treatment outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Utah State Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• BCLS and ACLS certification.
• Valid NBRC Credential in good standing.
• AARC/USRC Membership preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
