Day shift, Monday to Friday, with holiday rotation. The shift will be 5x8 hours from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Supervisor provides operational and technical leadership for the Sterile Processing Department (SPD), ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant reprocessing of surgical instruments and medical devices. This role includes direct supervision of Lead Technicians and Sterile Processing Technicians across various work areas within SPD.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise daily assignments based on workload, case volume, and departmental priorities.
• Oversee instrument tracking systems, documentation accuracy, and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with AAMI ST79, AORN guidelines, CDC recommendations, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate daily SPD operations to meet surgical and procedural case demands.
• Audit tray assembly accuracy and addressing service concerns.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and universal precautions across the department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of three (3) years of sterile processing experience, with prior leadership experience required.
• Certifications in CBSPD and/or CRCST from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) are required.
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma center and familiarity with electronic instrument tracking systems preferred.
