Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide quality patient care in a 30-bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care Unit. This role involves comprehensive monitoring and management of cardiac patients, including those with congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, and various arrhythmias. The RN will ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring.
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Provide pre/post cardiac catheterization care.
• Manage chest tubes and tracheostomy care.
• Conduct procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Utilize Rapid Response Teams as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit.
• Current RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS preferred.
• Previous charge RN experience preferred.
• EMR experience with EPIC required.
