Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 17:00 to 05:30, with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling a variety of critical patient conditions, including cardiac and neuro cases. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, managing complex treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, providing continuous care and intervention.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to evaluate patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced Life Support protocols for critically ill patients.
• Perform detailed patient documentation using the Epic charting system.
• Assist in various procedures, including but not limited to central line management and ventilator support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
• Ability to float between units as required.
