Respiratory Therapist - Night Shifts

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Mixture of 12-hour (7 PM - 7 AM) and 8-hour (11 PM - 7 AM) shifts. Every other weekend required. 0.9 FTE.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality care in a tobacco and fragrance-free facility. The respiratory therapist will be responsible for caring for patients, including those with COVID-19, and may be required to assist in various clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients in various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatric populations.
• Utilize advanced equipment and therapies, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results to inform treatment plans.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and provide emergency respiratory support when necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Services and Rapid Response Teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Must hold RRT or CRT certification.
• Experience with electronic charting systems, preferably Epic.
• Current certification in BLS and NRP is required.
• Ability to work every other weekend and occasionally on holidays.
