Day Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist to join our Oncology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering radiation therapy to patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the Physician.
• Operate radiation equipment, including Varian TrueBeam and IX systems.
• Document patient information and treatment progress using Aria software.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment procedures and expectations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State License in hand is required.
• Minimum of one year of radiation therapy experience.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Maintains all registries and licenses required by state and federal law.
