Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Job Description

This is a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 Trauma center. We cater to inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team and are responsible for the pre-procedural preparation of patients and post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care. Experience with GI post-procedural care is preferred but not required. This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who want to work in the high-energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging. We specialize in providing care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRI's, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound. Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post-procedural care for interventional radiology patients.
• Handle overnight patient boarding pre or post procedure.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Registered Nursing experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• New York RN license is mandatory.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification required.

Schedule

This position offers a rotating shift schedule of 4x10 hours with floating assignments, including holidays, weekends, and on-call/callback duties.
