Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a night shift position from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide comprehensive care to patients during childbirth and the postpartum period. The role involves working in Labor and Delivery and mother-baby assignments, adhering to AWHONN guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to labor patients, following AWHONN guidelines of 1:1, 1:2 labor, and 1:3 couplets.
• Utilize two OB operating rooms for circulating during C-sections.
• Assist with patient care in 20 patient rooms designated for labor and delivery and mother-baby couplets.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience is required.
• Mother/baby experience is preferred.
• Postpartum couplet care experience is strongly preferred.
• Epic experience is required.
• Current NJ RN License or Compact License is mandatory; pending certifications/licenses will not be accepted.
• Required certifications include AHA BLS, NRP, and ACLS.
