Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location

Position available in the region's largest and most comprehensive emergency department.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:00 with every other weekend commitment.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team. The RN will provide care for patients in an acute behavioral health setting, ensuring their safety and well-being through effective communication and strong de-escalation skills. The RN will work within a 33-bed unit, managing a patient ratio of 1:10.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the acute behavioral health unit.
• Engage in strong de-escalation techniques to manage patient behavior effectively.
• Document patient care and activities using the EHR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• Must possess current CPI, NVCI, or HWC certification.
