Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour Days 7am - 7:30pm or 5x8 hour Days 7am - 3:30pm. Call required, including 1-2 nights per week and one weekend every six weeks.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN works collaboratively with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and other personnel to provide comprehensive patient care according to recognized standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability of supplies and equipment for surgical cases.
• Manage the timeliness of cases and facilitate communication with families.
• Update physician preference cards and adapt to surgical needs.
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures.
• Supervise other personnel delivering patient care in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of Operating Room RN experience.
• Experience in Robotics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, and OBGYN procedures.
• Current RN license in good standing.
