Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Nights, 4:30 PM - 5:00 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for the delivery of care to Emergency Room patients. Utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies, the RN will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership while planning for the safe delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Emergency Room RN.
• Successful completion of at least 2 previous travel assignments.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• ESI Level 5 training required; TNCC preferred.
• Cerner experience preferred.
