Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of quality care by adhering to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, promoting patient and employee safety in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs of patients and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure effective patient education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching upon admission.
• Maintain communication regarding patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through support and effective communication.
• Assure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (specific location only).
• Minimum two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift schedule, working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts.
