PCU Registered Nurse - Float Pool

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed.

Job Description

The Resource Float Pool is a diversely skilled team that provides support across two campuses. The role involves floating throughout various adult health units, including Observation, Med Surg, and Progressive Care. There may be occasions where staff are floated to the Emergency Department or Post Anesthesia Care Unit to care for adult health patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a variety of units including Observation, Med Surg, and PCU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient care activities and communications accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Life support certifications from approved providers (AHA, ARC, ASHI).
• No hits on state license to practice.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license for residency verification.
