Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in telemetry and med/surg nursing, with experience managing complex patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry, including interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and blood products as necessary.
• Provide management of colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tubes.
• Perform critical procedures such as central line blood draws and IV initiation.
• Deliver comprehensive care for patients pre/post-hemodialysis and various surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in patient care planning.
• Support rapid response and code teams in emergency situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing setting.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage complex patient care independently.
• Strong experience with telemetry and remote monitoring systems; knowledge of Epic charting system preferred.
• Ability to work holidays and every other weekend.
