Registered Nurse - Med/Surg/Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 06:45 to 19:15. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, administering blood products, and providing comprehensive patient care for a variety of diagnoses within the acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective patient care in a Med/Surg and Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient vitals and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Manage central and peripheral lines, including IVs and PICC lines.
• Administer medications and blood products as prescribed.
• Assist with pre/post-operative care for various surgical patients.
• Implement appropriate isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Utilize electronic documentation systems effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry settings.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Must have the ability to float to other units as needed.
