Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing severe injuries and neurological trauma. The RN will be expected to manage various medical procedures and treatments while adhering to established protocols and guidelines within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer heparin drips and oversee PCA management.
• Provide colostomy care and feeding tube management.
• Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Conduct phlebotomy and IV starts when necessary.
• Manage PICC lines and perform EKG tests.
• Carry out O2 protocol management and non-invasive airway management.
• Implement isolation precautions and PPE as required.
• Care for patients with traumatic brain injuries and orthopedic trauma.
• Handle surgical drains, chest tubes, and wound care.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience within the last 5 years.
• Active RN license required.
• Certifications in BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EKG interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is preferred.
