Registered Nurse - Postpartum and GYN Surgery

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in the postpartum unit, focusing on both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, as well as GYN surgeries. The role includes attending all deliveries and may require floating to NICU or L&D as needed. The nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Administer CPAP/BiPap and blood/blood products.
• Manage cooling/warming blankets and obtain 12 lead EKGs.
• Utilize various pumps including epidural, PCA, and syringe pumps.
• Care for patients post-op from GYN surgeries and postpartum deliveries.
• Handle wound vacs, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.
• Participate in couplet care and assist with low-risk antepartum and transition nursery patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Previous charge experience and travel experience are preferred.
• Experience with GYN surgeries and postpartum care is essential.
• Comfortable with patient ratios in both day and night shifts.
