Registered Nurse - Infusion Services

M-TH 8am-5pm (no lunch break) or M-Th 8am-5:30pm with 30 min lunch break.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse for Infusion Services provides comprehensive nursing care to Infusion patients as well as nursing care directed toward patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and oversees infusion patient referrals of tests and treatments.
• Coordinates and oversees appointment scheduling for infusion patients.
• Communicates test and examination results with referring providers and infusion patients.
• Observes and reports infusion patient condition and reactions to therapies.
• Assists in supervising clinic staff to optimize patient care flow.
• Maintains current professional knowledge through staff development activities.
• Administers specialty IV fluids and maintains IV access devices per protocols.
• Develops and participates in educating patients and families on care plans.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.
• Provides comprehensive follow-up care after patients are released from infusion therapy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska required.
• Must have BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred; prior experience in specialty preferred.
