Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

This position requires a 3x12 hour night shift from 19:00 to 07:30, with requirement for weekend coverage every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, including the monitoring and management of patients pre and post-operative, and conducting bedside procedures such as dialysis catheter placement and thoracentesis. The nurse will float to similar units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vitals and telemetry.
• Administer medications and blood products as necessary.
• Perform bedside procedures and provide post-operative care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient management.
• Document patient care and interventions in EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Tennessee.
• Minimum of one year of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry.
• At least one year of experience with EPIC EMR.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with medication administration and patient monitoring.
