Orthopedic Surgical Technologist - 13-week Contract Position

Day shift: 4x10-hour schedule from 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM

Job Description

The Orthopedic Surgical Technologist will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in orthopedic surgeries, including total joints and spine procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures
• Manage and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
• Provide direct support to surgeons and surgical teams
• Ensure sterile environments and compliance with safety regulations
• Document surgical procedures in the electronic health record system (Epic)
• Participate in on-call rotation as required

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 4 years of experience in surgical technology, specifically in orthopedic and spine procedures
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Travel experience required
• Availability for on-call shifts and weekend coverage
