Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a surgical unit providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing surgical procedures or engaged in trauma care. The RN will manage a diverse range of patient diagnoses while collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret vital signs and dysrhythmias.
• Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Provide care for surgical drains and manage wound care.
• Participate in rapid response teams and follow isolation precautions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Document care accurately in the EPIC electronic health record system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical unit experience.
• Current RN license in NC or Compact State.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Preferred experience with titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and managing chest tubes.
