Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Night shift - 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

The RN in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) will provide comprehensive care for patients with complex and critical health conditions. This role requires expertise in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and the ability to administer advanced cardiac life support effectively.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and cardiovascular conditions.
• Care for patients on ventilators and manage continuous IV sedation.
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Perform arterial line management and central line care.
• Conduct suctioning procedures and comply with isolation precautions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 18 months of MICU experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Active RN license and certifications: AHA or Red Cross BLS, ACLS.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• EPIC experience is required.
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required.
