Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Shift: 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM, with weekend and night call requirements.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse will provide assessment, monitoring, and intervention for various cardiac procedures including but not limited to:

• Left and right heart catheterization
• Coronary stents
• Balloon valvuloplasty
• Pericardiocentesis
• Structural heart procedures
• Intra-aortic balloon pumps
• Impella and EKOS

The nurse will also be a member of the Emergency On Call Team (STEMI Team), responsibility for administering oral and intravenous medication to patients, as well as managing patients under sedation to watch for adverse reactions. Education for patients and their families regarding care, lifestyle, medications, and postoperative information is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring during procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Manage patient's paperwork, including consent forms and procedure documentation.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care and lifestyle changes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in cath lab, procedural, or sedation nursing.
