Registered Nurse - Med Surg Rehab

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts, with a 36-hour guarantee.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in this Med Surg Rehab position will coordinate total nursing care for patients, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse.
• Coordinates total nursing care for patients.
• Participates in patient and family teaching.
• Provides leadership in maintaining professional nursing practices.
• May float to any unit within the scope of practice as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of recent Med Surg Rehab experience required.
• Charge RN experience required.
• Previous travel experience of at least 3 months is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active Vermont RN License or Compact must be provided.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required.
