Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED)

Schedule

Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. This position involves providing care to a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The unit specializes in various acute conditions such as Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure. Additionally, candidates should be comfortable utilizing specialized equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to emergency patients.
• Conduct assessments and develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications and manage medical equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist with triage and manage patient flow in a high-volume setting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing, with pediatric experience preferred.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (must be in hand).
• Active New York RN license and verification from Nursys.
• EMR experience required: EPIC.
• Ability to float as needed within the unit.
