Full-Time LPN Position - 40 Hours per Week

Job Description

The LPN will perform direct and indirect designated resident care under the direction of licensed nursing personnel. This role requires the individual to demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and assess data reflective of patient status, providing the appropriate care for the adult and geriatric patient group.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are met as outlined in the plan of care, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs.
• Maintain residents' safety and environment in accordance with established protocols, including prompt response to call lights and proper use of safety equipment.
• Meet residents' nutritional needs as outlined in the plan of care, including meal delivery and feeding assistance while respecting resident preferences.
• Assist with residents' rehabilitative needs, including range of motion, ambulation, and proper body alignment using assistive devices when necessary.
• Report residents' rights, refusals, and any changes in physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY LPN Licensure
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN in a long-term care or similar capacity

Schedule

Must be able to start on a Tuesday or Thursday for full shift orientation. Shifts will vary between days and evenings.
