Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, requiring weekend work every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and self-sufficient Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing various ER tasks including phlebotomy, IV placement, EKGs, splinting, wound care, and patient transport. The RN will provide care for a diverse patient population across all age groups in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room setting.
• Conduct assessments, administer medications, and coordinate patient care.
• Utilize EHR (Meditech) effectively for patient documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a patient-centered approach while meeting operational metrics.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in an emergency setting.
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Active RN license in the state of Virginia.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
