Registered Nurse - Neuro Medicine ICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12.0 rotation with days, evenings, and nights, including holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties as per unit needs.

Job Description

Join our state-of-the-art 12-bed Neuro Medicine ICU, focused on providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients with complex neurological conditions including traumatic brain injuries, aneurysms, status epilepticus, strokes, and other severe neurologic pathologies. This role demands exceptional skill and commitment to excellence in critical care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level nursing care to patients in the Neuro Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring advanced telemetry and neurological assessments.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid New York RN License.
• Two (2) years of acute care ICU experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only).
• NIHSS certification preferred.
