Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM, with every other weekend (EOW) and holiday (EOH) as per department rotation.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency environment. This role requires quick decision-making and the ability to provide effective, compassionate care to patients in critical and urgent situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department setting.
• Assess patients' conditions and prioritize accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the Epic EHR system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Must be located 75 or more miles from the facility to qualify.
• Successful completion of a Trinity drug screen and background check.
