Registered Nurse - Cardiac and Vascular Unit

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in the Cardiac and Vascular Unit. This role involves monitoring post-operative and complex cardiac surgery patients, which includes CABG, heart transplants, and vascular surgeries. The position requires collaboration within a supportive team-oriented environment to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient care in both stepdown and floor settings.
• Titrate medications and manage drips, including Heparin, Amiodarone, and Dobutamine.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care and recovery.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and provide education to patients and families.
• Utilize the EPIC charting system for patient documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Previous experience in cardiac/vascular nursing is necessary.
