Registered Nurse - Neuro Stepdown & EMU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, with weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in the Neuro Stepdown and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, providing care to higher acuity neuroscience patients. The position requires strong neuro experience and is oriented towards managing a variety of complex neurological conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to neuro stepdown and EMU patients.
• Manage patient care plans and ensure high-quality treatment.
• Assist in the implementation of neurological assessments and interventions.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs as per established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are mandatory; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in a neuro stepdown unit is essential.
• Familiarity with monitoring and managing neurological conditions, including EVDs and strokes.
