PICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care, demonstrating both clinical expertise and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. This role requires the ability to manage complex patient care needs and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to protocols and guidelines.
• Monitor patient conditions, evaluate responses to treatment, and document appropriately.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
• Participate in family education and support during the patient care process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of PICU nursing experience required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and RRT are mandatory.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with pediatric critical care and troubleshooting various respiratory modalities is essential.
