Job Description

The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on individual needs and goals, as well as physician directives. The role encompasses the delegation and direction of therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs aimed at facilitating a successful return to community activities. The PT also educates patients, families, students, and coworkers while performing additional professional duties related to patient care and service development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans with clear goals.
• Complete medical record documentation accurately and timely, following state and federal guidelines.
• Provide care under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals when applicable.
• Participate in student programs, providing supervision and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Create individualized professional development plans and pursue continuing education opportunities.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Understand and apply performance improvement methodologies to enhance service quality continually.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification required.
