Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This high-acuity unit specializes in cardiac care, providing advanced interventions and monitoring for patients with serious cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU.
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, ensuring timely interventions.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as prescribed.
• Oversee post-operative care for cardiac procedures such as CABGs, valve replacements, and other vascular surgeries.
• Conduct neurovascular checks and assist with specialty procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1-year current acute care PCU hospital experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferably experienced in chest tube management and administering heparin, diltiazem, and other drips.
