Interventional Radiology Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10-hour days from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM, with on-call requirements to cover off-shift, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the Interventional Radiology unit. This includes participating in procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The role requires expertise in catheterization and radiological techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology setting.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies during procedures.
• Administer medications and support patients in understanding treatment plans.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high standards of care.
• Be available for on-call shifts as required, providing timely responses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing with a focus on Interventional Radiology.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• EPIC charting experience is heavily preferred.
• Strong ability to perform procedures like angioplasty and sheath removal.
• Must be able to care for COVID patients in a tobacco and fragrance-free facility.
