Schedule

Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday with on-call requirements of 1-2 times per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the CV PreOp unit will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment. This role requires critical thinking skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. The RN will assist with various procedures and patient transport to the OR, as well as engage in comprehensive patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform large-bore IV starts and skin assessments.
• Assist with medication administration and other pre-operative procedures.
• Transport patients to the Operating Room and assist with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep.
• Ensure accurate documentation and uphold high patient care standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient experiences and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in practice state.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Critical Care experience is a must; PreOp experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in documentation and use of Cerner or similar systems.
