Registered Nurse - Postpartum

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour schedule (18:00 - 06:30). Weekend work is required to meet staffing needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with postpartum experience. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care in a facility that serves a culturally diverse population, including high-risk obstetric patients. RNs will also be involved in cesarean section procedures and postpartum assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for postpartum patients and newborns.
• Assist with cesarean section procedures and other related interventions.
• Conduct assessments, administer medications, and manage patient care plans.
• Support breastfeeding and provide education to new parents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document care accurately in electronic medical records using Epic.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in postpartum care.
• Current California RN license (valid and active).
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NR.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Ability to float within the facility as needed.
