Full-Time Night Nurse Supervisor/Clinical Leader

Schedule

This position requires a full-time commitment with 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holidays.

Job Description

The Night Nurse Supervisor/Clinical Leader is responsible for coordinating clinical activities throughout the acute care setting during evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. This role provides clinical leadership and assistance to nursing staff in planning, organizing, evaluating, and delivering nursing care to patients of all age groups. The Clinical Leader ensures effective communication and collaboration among nursing staff and plays a key role in managing bed-flow and staffing challenges, conflict resolution, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment supporting professional development of staff.
• Evaluate quality and effectiveness of healthcare delivery for assigned shifts.
• Provide professional coaching and mentoring to nursing staff.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to address staffing and patient care needs.
• Act as a link between off-shift staff and nursing leadership.
• Maintain effective communication processes within the organization.
• Utilize decision-making principles for balanced patient care and staffing management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN Licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience.
• At least 1 year of Critical Care experience.
• 1 year of supervisory or clinical leadership experience (beyond charge nurse).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA), and NIHSS.
