Registered Nurse - Moderate Sedation

Job Description

Join a dedicated team that provides moderate sedation in a fast-paced procedural area, caring for patients undergoing preventative and interventional stroke care. Responsibilities include administering intraoperative moderate sedation and circulating when not providing sedation. The RN closely monitors the patient's cardiac and physical status, collaborating with the physician to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor moderate sedation during procedures.
• Circulate in the procedural area when not providing sedation.
• Closely monitor patients' cardiac and physical status.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

Schedule

36 or 40 hours per week, with days and 10 or 12-hour shifts. On-call for weekends and nights may be required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Moderate Sedation Experience Required
• IR Experience Required
• Two (2) years of experience or experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred
• Telemetry experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
