Full Time Evenings (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), 5 x 8s, Every Other Weekend, Holidays as needed

Job Description

The RN Supervisor oversees the operation of nursing units and ensures quality resident care through the supervision and teaching of nursing staff. This role collaborates closely with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers to address and resolve issues within the nursing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of nursing units, providing clinical supervision to assigned staff.
• Ensure quality resident care through effective teaching and guidance of staff on respective shifts.
• Communicate and collaborate with the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers regarding unit problems and solutions.
• Make administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator on shifts and weekends.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care.
• Supervisory or clinical lead experience over multiple units (charge-only experience not accepted).
• BLS certification required through AHA or RQI system during clinical orientation.
• CPI certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
