Job Description

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day operations within the laboratory department. This role involves close collaboration with the Laboratory Director on policy and procedural matters to ensure efficient laboratory operations supporting patient care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with CLIA and CAP standards.
• Coordinate laboratory testing on inpatient and outpatient samples.
• Lead team members in providing timely and accurate laboratory results.
• Implement and monitor laboratory protocols and policies.
• Facilitate communication between laboratory staff and medical personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Five (5) years of experience in a clinical role.
• Two (2) years of laboratory leadership experience.
• Proficiency with Kronos/UKG and Epic Beaker.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) required.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
