Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts will typically run from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with variable days. On-call requirements may apply.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases. This role requires adherence to the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Acts and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking skills and scientific judgment to ensure safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and professional development.
• Delegate patient care priorities according to the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active California RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Local candidates will not be accepted for this position.
