Echocardiography Technologist III (Pediatric/Fetal Cardiology)

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00), On Call Monday to Sunday / 3 Weeks

Job Description

The Echocardiography Technologist III will perform complex congenital heart echocardiograms and fetal echocardiograms independently. This role requires analyzing imaging data and collaborating with cardiologists regarding fetal echocardiogram findings. The technologist will also educate patients and families about procedures and findings, assist with special and invasive cardiac procedures, and maintain echocardiography equipment while supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex congenital heart and fetal echocardiograms independently.
• Analyze imaging data and present findings to physicians.
• Collaborate with cardiologists regarding fetal echocardiogram findings.
• Assist with special and invasive cardiac procedures.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and findings.
• Maintain echocardiography equipment and support quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate Degree in Allied Health or related field, or completion of a 2-4 year Diagnostic Ultrasound program, or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• RDCS or RCS credentialed (or registry eligible through ARDMS or CCI).
• 7-10 years of cardiac clinical ultrasound experience.
• Experience performing pediatric/congenital echocardiograms independently.
• ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) credential preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of fetal echocardiography experience preferred.
