Mammography Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Job Description

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammography examinations and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This role involves working with state-of-the-art technology and adhering to strict safety and quality control measures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mammography procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and protocols.
• Provide excellent patient care and support throughout the imaging process.
• Maintain equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
• Document all procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in mammography.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• ARRT certification in Mammography.
• Official documentation of at least 200 completed mammography exams in the last 24 months (signed by leadership).
• 15 breast-specific continuing education units (CEUs) in the last 3 years.
• 8 hours of documented digital training.
• 8 hours of documented 3D/tomo training.
• Documented 40 hours of mammography training.
• Documented initial 25 supervised exams.
