Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, focused on teamwork and delivering high-quality patient care. The Emergency Department is equipped with 16 beds, facilitating a patient ratio of 3-4:1, or 1:1 for trauma/critical patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform peripheral IV insertions, including ultrasound-guided IV insertions and IO insertions.
• Administer medications, blood products, and procedural sedation monitoring.
• Conduct assessments and monitor patient vitals in emergency situations.
• Assist in emergency procedures such as defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion.
• Implement hemorrhage control measures and wound care.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team collaboration to improve patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid Utah RN license or compact license.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, NRP, ENPC.
• Advanced skills in IV insertion (ultrasound preferred), EKG monitoring, and other critical interventions.
