Registered Nurse - Nights

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and implementing an individualized plan of care for each patient utilizing the nursing process. This role requires adherence to the standards, policies, and mission of the organization while ensuring the delivery of quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Comply with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality outcomes and coordinate patient care.
• Identify barriers to effective communication and address psychosocial, financial, and cultural considerations.
• Evaluate learning needs of patients and provide appropriate education to patients and families.
• Effectively delegate patient care tasks to ancillary personnel.
• Practice according to professional and ethical standards.
• Demonstrate caring attitudes to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire).
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire).
• Must have two (2) years of hospital nursing experience.

Schedule

This position is for night shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
